This week’s RAW opens with the United States Champion, Damian Priest, making his way to the ring.

Priest says he’s always wanted to do this, then welcomes us to Monday Night RAW. He says he became U.S Champion at SummerSlam and the fans chant “you deserve it”. Priest says he wants to show the title the respect it deserves, the same way past Champion’s like Jeff Hardy or John Cena have. Unlike Bobby Lashley, who showed what kind of Champion he is when he ran away last week. That won’t be him, ever. And that’s why he’s offering an open challenge tonight.

Sheamus interrupts Priest and makes his way to the ring to massive boos. Sheamus says he agrees with Priest, Lashley is a coward that runs from things he doesn’t like. But that’s not him. And he appreciates Priest’s willingness to fight but he’s going to knock his teeth out with a Brogue kick and take his gold back. Drew McIntyre comes out and says, as much as he’d like to see Priest beat Sheamus for the hundredth time, he thinks everyone would like to see something fresh. And the U.S Championship is the one title that has always eluded him. Drew proposes a title match tonight and Priest likes it but Sheamus argues.

MVP and Bobby Lashley come out to boos and MVP asks them to hold their applause. The All Mighty wanted to hold an open challenge every week, like Priest, but the problem is… they get interrupted by a loud Goldberg chant. MVP says that Goldberg has been dealt with, in the same way that Lashley has already beaten everyone. So who is there for an open challenge? It’s not good for business. But what is good for business, would be Lashley beating Priest and taking the U.S Championship for himself.

We see Drew McIntyre warming-up backstage. He’ll be facing Sheamus and Damian Priest, next!

United States Championship – Triple Threat Match: Damian Priest Vs Drew McIntyre Vs Sheamus
The match gets underway and Sheamus realises he’s outnumbered, so he takes the fight to McIntyre but the babyfaces overwhelm him. They beat him down in the corner, then Sheamus rolls outside and trash talks the fans. Priest flips over the ropes onto Sheamus, then Drew comes out and peppers him against the barricade. Drew whips Sheamus to Priest, who back drops him over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area. McIntyre gets in the ring and tells Pies to bring it.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and Sheamus hits a flying clothesline off the top rope. Sheamus knocks McIntyre off the apron into the barricade, then Priest starts attacking him. Priest counters a backbreaker and locks-in a triangle choke. Sheamus gets free and lands the backbreaker. Priest goes for the mask but Sheamus punches him down. Sheamus wants the Beats of the Bodhran and Priest fights it for a minute but he eventually gets it and forearms him off the apron.

McIntyre comes in from behind and runs over Sheamus with forearms, then lands a couple of belly-to-bellies. Sheamus hits a neckbreaker and looks for a Future Shock DDT but Sheamus slings him off. Sheamus avoids Drew in the corner and the Scot hits the ring post. Priest returns and hits both guys with flying elbows in the corners, then kicks Sheamus out of the ring. Drew elbows Priest but eats some kicks in return.

Drew clotheslines Priset out of the ring, then dives over the ropes onto him and Sheamus. McIntyre slowly gets Priest back in the ring and they trade shots until he hits a Michonoku driver for a near-fall. Drew backs Priest into the corner and lifts him onto the top rope. Drew climbs up but Sheamus comes from behind and beats McIntyre down into the tree of woe, then headbutts Priest. Sheamus climbs up over McIntyre and grabs Priest but Drew sits-up and German suplexes him, meaning Sheamus suplexed Priest in the process!
Sheamus and Drew are trading shots. Sheamus whips McIntyre into the corner, then hits an Alabama slam for a near-fall. Sheamus grabs McIntyre and locks-in a cloverleaf but Priest returns with a kick to the face. Priest hits a chokeslam but Drew breaks the pin attempt. Priest and McIntyre trade punches over and over and Drew looks for the Future Shock but Priest counters and wants the Recknoning but Sheamus hits him with the Brogue kick!

Priest rolls outside and Sheamus is angered, but Drew grabs him for a Future Shock DDT and a near-fall. McIntyre counts down for a Claymore but Sheamus catches him with a knee in mid-air for a near-fall! The fans in Oklahoma are into this one as Sheamus gets Drew on his shoulders and climbs the ropes for white noise and another near-fall thanks to Priest rushing in to break it up.

Sheamus eats kicks and punches from Priest, who then grabs him for The Reckoning but Sheamus counters. Priest slips out of the way and McIntyre hits Sheamus with a Claymore and he rolls out. McIntyre and Priest go back-and-forth, then Priest counters a tilt-a-whirl into The Reckoning for the win!
